Recovery folder
Rewise makes backup copies of all edited file elements. These copies are stored to the recovery folder \<USER>/AppData/Local/Novatron/Rewise/backup/. The file menu command Recovery folder opens this folder in Windows File Explorer.
The default backup interval is five minutes. This can be changed in application preferences. Setting the interval value to zero disables backups.
Backup file name is generated by converting some characters in the original file path: colon is converted to equal sign and backslashes are converted to @-signs. For example, path c:\folder\file.txt is converted to a file name c=@folder@file.txt.
The backup file format is always Rewise native RWS-format.
If the computer or application crashes during editing, this folder can be used to retrieve edited but unsaved files. Saving and closing the file element removes the backup copy automatically.
